Visiting dignitaries such as Ryan Adams, the Hives, the Donnas, the Dirtbombs, and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion have all been spotted sipping a drink or six on the roomy outdoor patio, while the Soledad Brothers, the Greenhornes, and the Forty-Fives grace the cozy room with a secret set whenever they roll through town. Maybe it's the hospitality and strong pouring hand of the owners that make Big Deals feel welcome, but it's most likely the unpretentious atmosphere that comes with the joint's happy, integrated mix of rockers, bikers, blue-collar joes, and neighborhood couples that wins most folks over. Once the sun goes down, they yank the tables, ice the Pabst, and turn the restaurant into an instant bash for anyone willing to participate.
